Cranes come together

7th 12.2013 – 27th 1.2014 at RICE UP Onigiri  on the subway platform in Berlin.

Cranes folded with book pages in different languages from different times.

Each language has unique character,history and tradition etc.

If a book is opened and  one page is torn off and meets another, 

it is as if one crane meets another crane from another country and the potential for Oneness is created.

Origami  Kranich Orizuru ist eine der ältesten 

Formen des Origami (Kunst des Papierfaltens).

Wenn Tausend Orizuru zusammen gebunden werden, 

wird dies Senbazuru (Tausend Kraniche) gennant 

und dies symbolisiert Hoffnung auf Frieden.

Paper Crane orizuru is a design considered the most classic of all Japanese origami (art of paper folding).

A thousand orizuru strung together is called senbazuru (thousand cranes) and symbolizes hope for peace.
